Plus an article from E! Online

Finally, order has returned to Los Feliz.

Robert Pattinson is back in the States after two months of filming in Australia and, last night, he and Kristen Stewart enjoyed a group date night at one of their favorite L.A. haunts, Ye Rustic Inn.

"They seemed really happy to be with each other," an eyewitness to the reunion exclusively tells E! News.

"Rob and Kristen were having so much fun together," the insider said. "They sat in the back of the bar in a booth and were laughing. At one point, they were standing at the bar and were just being normal, as any boyfriend and girlfriend would be with each other.

"They were touchy-feely. She was holding on to his jacket and had her hand on his back. They were just cute."

And, thanks to Stewart, Pattinson didn't end up being an a--hole.

"My friend is a photographer so she is not shy about going up to people and asking for photos, so she just asked them for one," another fellow Ye Rustic Inn patron told us.

"Kristen was super nice," she said. "She was like ‘You know how many times I get asked that, no problem'. Rob was a little bit more shy. [Stewart] was like, ‘Come over here, Rob, don't be an a--hole.' She was laughing and put her arm around me. He smiled and took the pic. She was super friendly."

Later in the night, the lucky bargoer saw Robsten again outside. "At one point I was outside and they were playing around in the street," she said. Stewart "and her friend were, like, racing. They were having a lot of fun."

Reunited, and it feels so good.

Here are two new fan photos of Kristen from Friday night (March 15th) - she was dining at El Arco Iris Restaurant in LA with friends. Plus an article from PEOPLE.com

via PEOPLE.COM - Kriste Stewart let loose with pals on Friday night in Los Angeles.

Hitting up El Arco Iris restaurant for some Mexican food and fun, the former Twilight star was joined by a group of male and female friends, and they ordered a big bowl of chicken soup, a pitcher of the strawberry margarita and a pitcher of the house special margarita.

"Kristen and her friends did a tequila shot," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "The staff said that Kristen was super sweet and was very thankful and even took photos with them."

Dressed casually in jeans and a white T-shirt, the actress wore her hair wavy and down and flashed a peace sign in a photo that was taken at the eatery.

via The Daily Telegraph - But Robert Pattinson has channelled the physical discomfort of his seven-week summer shoot in the middle of the Aussie Outback into a character he hopes will make an equally indelible impression as the Twilight vampire.

"It's added lots to the performance - being covered in dirt, pouring sweat, with tons of flies around. You lose your inhibitions quite quickly," the English star said on the set of his latest film, The Rover, in which he sports a crude DIY haircut and badly-decayed teeth.

A neo-western set in a brutal, anarchic near future, the $12 million film is director David Michod's hotly anticipated follow-up to the internationally acclaimed Animal Kingdom.

Guy Pearce plays the title character, an embittered outsider with whom Pattinson's naive victim forms an uneasy alliance.

Marree, population 90, is about as far from Hollywood as an actor can get.

"That's good in some ways," Pattinson says. "You definitely end up making a different movie. Being in the desert has a funny effect. It does change you in a way."

Pattinson confirmed his participation in three upcoming projects: Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert with Naomi Watts and Jude Law; Maps to the Stars, a comedy directed by David Cronenberg (Cosmopolis); and Hold Onto Into Me with Carey Mulligan.

Rob's Interview with The Sunday Morning Herald & Courier Mail from the set of 'The Rover'

New Rob interviews with The Sunday Morning Herald and Courier Mail from the set of The Rover

In the Courier Mail interview, he talks about how it has been difficult being away from Kristen for 2 months while filming

Sunday Morning Herald - 'It's very odd,'' Robert Pattinson says. ''There's something strange and disturbing about the whole relationship.''

The Twilight actor is talking about the two characters at the heart of his new film, The Rover, which finished shooting on Saturday in outback South Australia.

He plays a young man, Rey, caught up in an uneasy, dangerous alliance with a stranger, Eric (Guy Pearce), in a not-too-distant future.

The Rover is the much-anticipated new film from David Michod, the writer-director of Animal Kingdom. The title refers to Pearce's character: damaged, solitary, utterly without hope.

Pattinson has been casting his net widely since his lead role in the wildly successful Twilight movies brought him celebrity and a certain amount of paparazzi attention. He's quick and sometimes self-deprecating, and has a surprisingly hearty laugh. Looking for roles post-Twilight, he says, ''I don't know if I'm necessarily any good at sculpting a career or anything. But I know what I want to do.''

He wanted to be part of The Rover because ''it was an original script and it was one of those parts where you read it and you think, 'I'd love to do this, but I know I'm never going to get it.'''. There, ''already self-defeating before I've even started'', he says.

In this film, he's a long way from the debonair 19th-century Frenchman of Bel Ami or the New York billionaire of Cosmopolis, two of his recent roles. The near-future that Rey inhabits has a broken-down, improvised, desperate feel, and Pattinson's appearance is in keeping: unkempt and unshaven, with make-up that discolours his teeth.

Rey is an American who has come to Australia with his brother. He is, Pattinson says, ''the kind of person who has been brought up to believe they're incapable of living independently. Someone has always been looking after him.'' When he's separated from his brother, ''almost the first person that comes along, he grabs them. It doesn't matter how he gets treated''. And Eric treats him very badly at first.

The Rover was shot over seven weeks, ending with more than a fortnight in the remote small town of Marree, 685 kilometres north of Adelaide, whose population of 90 more than doubled with the presence of the movie crew. Almost every part of Marree has been incorporated into the world of the movie. The filmmakers said it felt like their own Hollywood studio backlot.

The Rover takes place ''in an unspecified relatively near future, after a number of years of quite seriously steady Western economic decline,'' Michod says. ''It's not post-apocalypse. This is an Australia that has broken down into a kind of resource-rich Third World country.''

He did not start with the idea of this near-future, but with the enigmatic, shifting relationship between the two central characters. He wrote the role of Eric for Pearce, but did not start thinking about Pattinson until they met in Los Angeles.
He had not - and still has not - seen any of the Twilight films, but had been told that Pattinson was interesting. He found Pattinson was ''really smart, and not the sort of pretty boy I was expecting. As soon as it was time to start testing… he was my first choice, by a long way.''

Courier Mail - Edward Cullen wouldn't last five minutes in the baking heat of Marree, a one-pub town 650km north of Adelaide.

But Robert Pattinson has channelled the physical discomfort of his seven-week, summer shoot in the middle of the Australian Outback into a character that he hopes will make an equally indelible impression as the Twilight vampire.

“It’s added lots to the performance – being covered in dirt, pouring sweat, with tons of flies around, you lose your inhibitions quite quickly,”the English star said on the set of his latest film, The Rover, in which he sports a crude, DIY haircut and badly-decayed teeth.

A neo-western set in a brutal, anarchic near-future, the $12 million film is director David Michod’s hotly-anticipated follow-up to the internationally-acclaimed Animal Kingdom.

Guy Pearce plays the title character, an embittered outsider with whom Pattinson’s naive victim forms an uneasy alliance.

Located at the intersection of the Oodnadatta and Birdsville Tracks, Marree, population 90, is about far from Hollywood as an actor can get.

“That’s good in some ways,” says Pattinson. “You definitely end up making a different movie. Being in the desert has a funny effect. It does change you in a way.”

Pattinson, whose on-again, off-again relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart has been a matter of much conjecture, admits the different time zones and lack of mobile phone reception have taken a toll on his private life.

“Yeah, it’s tough. But at the end of the day, it’s only two months.”

Filming on The Rover, which has spent time on location in Hammond, Quorn, Copley, and Leigh Creek, wrapped yesterday.

Pattinson said he was intending to take the next three weeks off, but confirmed his participation in three upcoming projects: Werner Herzog’s Queen of the Desert, with Naomi Watts and Jude Law; Maps to the Stars, a comedy directed by David Cronenberg (Cosmopolis), and Hold Onto Into Me, with Carey Mulligan.

UPDATE - Added the fan encounter from the fan

I was having lunch at Figaro Cafe in Loz Feliz, an authentic French Bistro, famous for their salads and fresh pastries. The last time I ate there, the cast of “Mad Men” sat next to me and Jon Hamm charmed my pants off when I told him I worked in advertising. Today, my date and I were seated outside, near the door, when I saw Kristen Stewart slip inside. She had a slight limp, which caught my attention (I remembered seeing her on TV with crutches at The Oscars). Even under dark sunglasses and a baseball cap, her trademark lips gave her away. I try to avoid stars when they’re eating, but after lunch, I stepped inside to use the restroom—which happened to be right next to Kristen’s table. There was a long line, in the back of the restaurant, so instead of hovering over Kristen I decided to say hello to her and the other cool, hipster-chick she was with. Since we both share April birthdays, I got down on one knee and said: “Excuse me, ladies. I just wanted to wish Kristen a Happy Birthday, we’re both Aries babies, so I know it’s coming up.” She seemed amused, and graciously said “Thank you.” Because she seemed relaxed and receptive, I continued to ramble: “And we both love ‘The Shining’ and ‘The Lost Boys.’ But I want to thank you personally for ‘The Runaways.’ Joan Jett was my everything growing up—and you nailed it!” At first she bit her lip and started to laugh, her hands slightly nervous. But when I told her how much her performance meant to me, she placed her hands firmly on her lap and gave me a heartfelt “Thank you.” Unlike the Kristen you hear about in the press, she was very warm, friendly and humble— which put me at ease. And even without a stitch of makeup, she looked flawless. I wanted to ask for a photo, otherwise no one would be believe me, but I didn’t want to ruin the moment. So I said, “Thanks ladies” and made my exit. I felt like a gentleman, for practicing some restraint and not asking for a pic. Until 30 minutes later, when I bumped into Kristen and her friend AGAIN, just hanging outside a closed store front. I casually waved “Hi” as I walked by and her friend asked “How are you doing?” I said fine, then hesitated, before asking: “Would it be gross to ask for a photo? A birthday photo? Or would that ruin the moment? Kristen said sure, and waved me over into this storefront nook she was sitting in. I remarked, “You know how to be discreet don’t you?” because there were literally 20 diners nearby who had no idea who she was. Kristen put her arm around me, in this very confined space, which made me self-concious. After she cracked a really bad joke to put me at ease, I whispered, “Words can’t describe how incredibly cool you are.” Kristen replied very softly, “Thank you.” Her friend snapped 2 photos of us and that was it. I’m still amazed at how gorgeous Kristen is up close. But once my camera came out she did her best to act silly, like she doesn’t want anyone to notice how beautiful she is. Whatever preconceived notions I had about Kristen Stewart, got tossed out that day. She was friendly, gracious and instantly made me feel welcomed. And Kristen definitely seems in her element in Los Feliz, surrounded by artists, hipsters and poets enjoying the sunshine in a sea of flannel shirts. #Team Bella

Kristen's Interview with Chicago Sun Times
Date Posted : 14 Mar 2013
Written by - Lorna

Kristen's interview with the Chicago Sun Times

‘Human beings are just animals,” says Kristen Stewart. “It’s about fiercely living and squeezing every single drop out of life and not denying any aspects of it.”

Despite her up-and-down personal life, Stewart is not talking about herself or any dramas that have tabloid headlines attached to them. Instead, she’s mulling over her explicit scenes in “On the Road,” opening Friday.

“So much is clearly illustrated through her sexuality in her film,” Stewart says of her character Marylou. “But there was nothing about it that seemed gratuitous. It just seemed so necessary. There was simply no question that this would be a more sexual role.”

Based on the classic book by Jack Kerouac, this adaptation is about a young writer named Sal Paradise (Sam Riley) whose life turns upside-down during a cross-country road trip with Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund) and his girlfriend, Marylou.

“She’s a very dedicated performer,” says Hedlund of working with Stewart. “She read this book at 15 and stuck with this project. It meant that much to her.”

After the tumultuous 2012 that brought her final “Twilight” film as Bella, Stewart now says, “I’m doing all right. No, I’m actually doing good. I’m happy.”

1. Do you remember when you first read “On the Road?”
It was on a reading list at my school. I remember it was literally next to “The Scarlet Letter” and “Catcher in the Rye.” Those books would have been cool, too, but I wanted to choose the most different one and went for it. I had the greatest time of possibly my whole academic career reading this book. I just aligned with that period in the book and kept thinking, “Wow. I love these words.”

2. What spoke to you in those words?
I loved that the book told me that it was my job to choose what my life was going to be. It was a conscious choice because life doesn’t just happen to you. It told me that you have to use every second in life. You can’t get complacent and let life pass you by. The people in this book were aggressively living. Also, it wasn’t about what happens to them in the end. It was about what happens to you in the middle, too.

3. So there were a few good life lessons here?
The book also tells you if something is driving you crazy, don’t deny it. Just hold on. Figure it out. Don’t let anything overwhelm you or sweep it under the rug. Again, these people in “On the Road” faced life head-on.

4. Is Marylou your most daring character?
I didn’t want to just play the wild, sexy, girl. Yes, she’s daring, but my favorite thing about taking this character on is that she’s self-aware and completely not self-conscious. She’s someone who can harness her fears in life although she’s not above emotions like jealousy.

5. Do you miss Bella? Is it strange after all these years of “Twilight” films to think you’ll never do another?
The most difficult thing I’ve ever done is to go off to another project like “On the Road” wondering if Bella would still stay with me. I didn’t take many other projects while we were doing “Twilight.” In the end, Bella didn’t stick with me more than any other character. Of course, there are people who so genuinely love the “Twilight” movies and books that they’ve said, “Every single time I see you in a movie, you’re still Bella to me.” It doesn’t bother me. I just say, “Fantastic, you’re a big Bella fan. I can totally relate. I’m a fan of Bella, too.” I do think people assume that I’m Bella. I have to prove to them that I can do other things and that she was just a character.

First Official Still from 'The Rover'
Date Posted : 13 Mar 2013
Written by - Lorna

Here is the first official movie still of Rob and Guy Pearce in their upcoming new movie The Rover which they are currently still shooting in Australia

GALLERY LINK -
Movies - Robert Pattinson - The Rover - Stills

via Entertainment Weekly - Australia was founded as a repository for crooks and criminals - a wretched hive of scum and villainy, like the British Empire’s own Mos Eisley. Of course, that was a long time ago and the Australian national demeanor has since shifted from “kill or be killed” to “live and let live,” but David Michod’s gritty 2010 drama Animal Kingdom chronicled some of the country’s more modern criminal descendents. In his upcoming sophomore effort, The Rover, the director takes things even further.

Robert Pattinson plays a denizen of the Outback in the near future, after a worldwide financial collapse has sent many like him running to the still viable mines of the Australian desert. 'It’s like a new gold rush,' says Michod. 'Where people from all corners of the world have come out to the desert to scrape out an existence. Petty criminals and miscreants and hustlers.' Guy Pearce, who had an uncharacteristically reserved role in Animal Kingdom, gets to sink his teeth into a nicely nasty part opposite Pattinson. 'The basic story is really quite elemental,' says Michod. 'You’ve got a really dark, dangerous, murderous person in Guy’s character, and in Rob’s character you have a quite troubled and damaged, but beautiful and naïve, soul.'

Of course, just by its setting and basic plot, The Rover is poised to draw comparisons to one of the antipodean country’s most memorable cinematic contributions. 'You put cars in the desert in Australia and people are going to think of Mad Max,” says Michôd. “And with all due respect to that film - and I stress that - I think The Rover is going to be way more chillingly authentic and menacing.'
